Frequently Asked Questions
How does Crisis Mode work?
When a panic attack hits, open Crisis Mode from the app or your Apple Watch. Nora guides you through a breathing protocol in real time while you log your symptoms. Once the episode passes, you can review what happened and track how your body responded.
Are my breathing exercises saved to Apple Health?
Yes, every breathing session you complete with Nora is automatically processed and saved as "Mindful Minutes" in the Apple Health app.
Is my data private and secure?
Yes. All AI analysis runs on-device using Apple's frameworks. Your symptom and mood logs are synced privately via iCloud (CloudKit), only you can access them. We do not sell or share your personal data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Can I share my data with my doctor?
Yes. Nora can generate professional PDF reports covering your HRV, sleep, and symptoms, which you can easily email to your therapist or physician.
How do AI Insights work?
Nora's rule-based engine analyzes your symptom history, HRV data, and mood entries to detect patterns, for example, whether your symptoms correlate with low HRV days or specific triggers. On iOS 18.1+ with Apple Intelligence enabled, insight text is further refined on-device.
Does Nora work without an Apple Watch?
Yes. Nora works fully on iPhone. Apple Watch extends the experience with quicker symptom logging and automatic check-ins, but all core features including HRV tracking are available without it.
How does Nora read my HRV data?
Nora reads Heart Rate Variability data directly from Apple Health. You can grant or revoke this permission at any time in Settings → Privacy → Health → Nora. No data is sent to external servers, all analysis happens on-device.
How do I delete my data?
To delete your symptom and mood history, open Nora → Settings → Delete All Data. This removes all local and iCloud records. Health data in Apple Health is managed separately through the Health app.
